Job Description:
Our client is a Montreal based financial services company located downtown and they are currently growing at a rapid pace. We are seeking a System Integration Specialist who possesses a positive and professional attitude to assist with the growth and development of our Information Technology infrastructure. This candidate must be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment as well as unique travel destinations. As a member of our IT staff, you will be expected to work closely with the team in order to provide quick resolution of all developing issues as well as playing a role in the planning and execution of new installations, upgrades, and expansions.
The System Integration Specialist will bring together discrete systems utilizing a variety of techniques such as computer networking, application integration, business process management or manual programming.
Candidate Requirements:
Proficient with Cisco
Must have a broad range of technical knowledge and experience
Proficient with diagnostic and troubleshooting work
Proficient experience with software and hardware engineering, interface protocols
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to travel where required and on short notice at least one week per month per year
Responsibilities:
Responsible for integrating new and current multiple systems for inputting, processing, interpreting, storing and categorizing data.
Research existing products and software components
Responsible for matching companys needs with existing products
Solve technical problems involving systems infrastructure from the extraction layer to the presentation layer.
Deliver information systems integration services - analysis, implementation, commissioning
Perform medium and advanced level tasks in systems development and integration.
Provide high-level systems support including corrective actions addressing system faults and deficiencies.
Review end user requirements
Produce and maintain design documentation and user guide.
Provide design and specification as part of system development project.
Provide consultation on networks (Lan & Wan) for efficient exchange of information.
Provide system software support for various projects, and/or in-house Engineering LAN.
Personal Skills and Abilities Required:
HTML, Visual Basic programming or scripting experience an asset
Should have systems or software Engineering training or experience
Networking (Hardware and Software) experience
Experience with Web applications (Intranet & Internet)
Basic knowledge of Unix and Linux
Ability to concentrate, prioritize and perform when needed
Must possess an extreme interest in computers
Must possess excellent communication skills as coordination with third parties outside of the company is extremely important
